If you have ever wondered what is behind the scenes at the Cathedral Basilica of St. Augustine, the symbolism and history of America’s Oldest Parish, now is your chance to take, “A Walk Through History.”

In April 2018 at 3 pm on Mondays and Wednesdays, a guided tour of the public and not so public locations within the church will begin. Tour stops include The Choir Loft, Sacristy, Confessional, Baptistery, Chapel and more.

You will see copies of 16th Century Documents, (the oldest documents in the New World), learn the stories behind the stained glass windows, the Stations of the Cross, the Bishop’s coat of arms in the rafters, the murals, the three burials within the church and more.

There is a $7 fee for this 1.5 hour guided tour to help defer costs which include a devotional candle. Space is limited to 15 people for each tour and only 1 tour is given per day.
