Dec. 1 - Treasures of the Beach: Our East coast beaches are constantly changing and bringing new items up for us to see. Shells, sea beans, grasses, sharks teeth, marine debris and more. Come learn how to identify these items, where they come from and so much more. Join SJC Park Naturalist, Kelly Ussia for this informative free walk on Vilano Beach. Dec. 2 - First Friday Garden Walk at Washington Oaks Gardens State Park: Join a Ranger on the First Friday of every month for a garden walk. Learn about the history of Washington Oaks while exploring the formal gardens. The walk starts in the Garden parking lot at 10 a.m. and is approximately one hour. No registration required. Dec. 2 - First Friday Art Walk: Join Art Galleries of St. Augustine the first Friday of every month from 5-9 p.m. for new exhibits, refreshments and live music at many participating galleries.
For easy mobility downtown, patrons and visitors can enjoy the complimentary shuttle service that runs from 6-9 p.m. provided by Old Town Trolleys. To use this service, shuttle stickers may be picked up at any participating AGOSA gallery. Shuttles can be boarded at any of the following stops: in front of Butterfield Garage and ArtBox, the Lightner Museum, Aviles Street, as well as in front of Bold Art Gallery near Hypolita Street. All participants receive a glow stick, glow necklace and a chocolate finisher’s medal. Registration is $10-$20 and the race starts at 6 p.m. at the amenity center located at 205 St. Johns Golf Dr, St. Augustine. Register here.

Dec. 2-4, St. Augustine Scavenger Hunt: Search for clues and solve puzzles with your own group of family and/or friends on a St. Augustine Scavenger Hunt with The 13 Keys Scavenger and Mystery to find 13 locations throughout the nation’s oldest city. Choose from a History Hunt, Haunted Hunt, or a Lovely Hunt and have a blast learning more about St. Augustine while exploring. The Scavenger hunts take place between 2:30 and 4 p.m. every Thursday through Sunday and depart from 76 Spanish St., St. Augustine. Tickets are $25 per person. www.the13keys.com
Dec. 2-4, 9-11: Shorts & Giggles: A Classic Theatre presents an evening of comedies combines wit, intellect, satire and just plain fun. Dec. 3 - St. Augustine Amphitheatre Farmers Market: From 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. shoppers stroll up and down the vendor-lined pathways of the St. Augustine Amphitheatre Farmers Market, browsing more than 100 tents loaded with local produce, flowers, baked goods, handmade arts and crafts and more. Dec. 3 - St. Augustine Christmas Parade: Experience St. Augustine's annual Christmas Parade with floats, marching bands, cars, horses and the arrival of Santa. Dec. 3 - Gullah Geechee Heritage Festival: Presented by SEA Community Help Resource Center, Inc. and St. Johns Cultural Council at Armstrong Park, Elkton FL. Music, dance, traditional foods, and craft celebrating 450 years of West African influence in St. Johns County.Performers include the Geechee Gullah Ring Shouters, Doug Carn, and Amy Alysia & the Soul Operation. Dec. 4 - The Garden Club of Augustine’s 51st Holiday Tour of Homes: The Garden Club of St Augustine is happy to announce the 51st Holiday Tour of Homes is scheduled for Sunday December 4, 2022. The theme is Casas y Flores de Navidad ( Houses and Flowers of Christmas). We will have 6 houses on display and decorated by Garden Club members from 12 noon to 5 PM. A Boutique and Tea are included with the price of the ticket which will be at the beautiful River House on Marine St from 12 noon to 4PM. The Boutique will feature homemade crafts and baked goods. The Tea will have a variety of delicious homemade cookies. There will be a cash raffle. This is a walking tour with limited transportation from the downtown parking garage to the River House. Three of the houses are located on charming Water St, a short walk from the parking garage. Ticket sales start October 1. The price of the tickets are $40. Keep the date open on your calendar. Dec. 10 - Holiday Regatta of Lights: Presented by St. Augustine Yacht Club at Downtown St. Augustine. A St. Augustine holiday tradition, the Holiday Regatta of Lights brightens the bay front with festive lights and decorations adorning boats of all shapes and sizes. The annual Holiday Regatta of Lights is a spectacular parade of boats of all types colorfully decorated with festive lights for the Christmas Holiday. The vessels “parade” before the crowds on the Bayfront just North of the Bridge of Lions. There will be sailboats, sport-fishermen, shrimp boats, trawlers, and more.
This annual event reflects on the maritime heritage of the Oldest City and is in keeping with St. Augustine’s historical seaborne image. Visitors and locals can view the event from the Seawall on the Bayfront. Free and open to the public.

Dec. 10 - 11th Annual Santa Suits on the Loose! The 11th Annual Santa Suits on the Loose 5K presented by Bozard Ford, to benefit St. Augustine Youth Services (SAYS), is a walk/jog/run that will be held on December 10, 2022. It begins at the St. Augustine Pier at 8 AM. The race follows a flat 3.1 mile course through St. Augustine Beach neighborhoods. Last year participation was roughly 1200 "Santa" themed runners, making it the 3rd largest race in St. Johns County. This year race organizers expect an even larger turn-out.
Dec. 10 - St. Augustine Beach Holiday Market: Presented by City of St Augustine Beach at St. Johns County Ocean Pier, St. Augustine Beach. Bring the whole family to the 3rd annual Holiday Market at the Pier from 3-10pm. Stroll through the market where you will find local vendors with offerings for everyone on your holiday gift list.

Dec. 14 - Holiday Pops with Gainesville Orchestra: Presented by EMMA Concert Association at Flagler College - Lewis Auditorium. EMMA Concerts brings The Gainesville Orchestra to Lewis Auditorium for Holiday Pops on December 14th.
An EMMA Concert Association holiday tradition, The Gainesville Orchestra will perform favorite holiday music. Based in Gainesville, Florida, the orchestra is led by Maestro Evans Haile, who is celebrating 21 years as musical director and conductor. Guests to this traditional holiday pops concert are invited to sing along to well-loved tunes! Free Parking will not be available at the Lewis Auditorium of Flagler College for this concert season. Free Parking will take place at the St. Johns County Council on Aging, 180 Marine St., St. Augustine FL 32084. Guests will then be transported to and from the concert venue by shuttle service free of charge. We hope you will take advantage of this new hassle-free parking arrangement. For over 400 years, a colonial Florida Christmas tradition, re-enacting Mary and Joseph’s search for lodgings (Spanish: “posadas”) in Bethlehem on the first Christmas Eve. For over 400 years, the colonial Hispanic Christmas tradition of Las Posadas has been celebrated by processions throughout the New World. The event is a re-enactment of Mary and Joseph’s search for lodgings (Spanish: “posadas”) in Bethlehem on the first Christmas Eve. Una Noche de Navidad is back again this year… for two nights! Our Lady of La Leche invites you to experience the joy of Christmas. Dec. 17 - 18 - Nutcracker: Saint Augustine Ballet presents the Nutcracker in Lewis Auditorium at Flagler College. Dec. 22 - The Nutcracker like you have never seen it!: Christmas FANTASTIQUE will be presented on Thursday, December 22nd at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. at Lewis Auditorium in downtown St. Augustine during its famous Nights of Lights festival. The original production by Zoika’s Dance reimagines the classic holiday story of “The Nutcracker” and features contemporary dance styles including hip hop, tap, jazz, acro, and modern dance, as well as classical ballet. A choir of young vocalists will perform before each show, with signing provided by deaf interpreter Amanda Villalobo
