This must be extremely brief, as I’m preparing to head off to Europe in the morning (dateline: July 13th, a Friday – ah, a very blessed day, imho!).
A very special pilgrimage awaits me, beginning in Yekaterinburg, Russia (a great Google exercise!) and winding its way through Moscow, and then on to the Vatican in Rome, a two week excursion all told. A small hint: think “Last Tsar of Russia”, and you’ll start to be on the trail! (And it goes so much further than that, this is an ecumenical encounter between two great wings, “lungs” really, of the Universal Church).
I can’t expand upon all this at the moment, but will do so after I return at the end of July, which, of course, is just in time for the preparations of the publication of the September issue of the Journal.
And that’s all this barely humble town journalist-of-the-spirit can manage at the moment.
P.S. Have a great beginning of the new school year!
