Did you know that 90 percent of women want to leave the sex trade, but don’t have access to jobs and a new life? Rethreaded, a local nonprofit that creates jobs for human trafficking survivors, has provided over 60,000 hours of work at their Jacksonville-based company in production, inventory, sales, marketing, and finance.

A charity event for Rethreaded will be held on Wednesday, November 6th from 6pm to 9pm at Tringali Barn at Heritage Farms, located at 7310 US Highway 1 South in St. Augustine. Tringali Barn is sponsoring this FREE event along with MasterCraft Builder Group and Ancient City Real Estate. The public is encouraged to come out and support Rethreaded by purchasing their locally-made wares including leather goods, jewelry, and more. There will be complimentary beer, wine, and food on-hand as well as live music. Local philanthropists Martin and Mistie Eltrich will be matching up to $10,000 in donations to Rethreaded.

“Our mission is to renew hope, reignite dreams, and release potential for survivors of human trafficking – locally and globally – through business,” explained Kristin Keen, Founder of Rethreaded. “We are honored that Tringali Barn owner, Chris Shee, and others within the community have come together to help us work towards our mission. This will be our first big event in St. Johns County, and we’re excited for the opportunity to share our story.”
